Doug worked with our AgGrow Group to develop a Strategic Business Position Statement. This took place ahead of our renewable energy company AER, going to government and private investors to raise finance for a pioneering project in the remote Pilbara.
He engaged directly with me to gather insights and background into our business, in order to plan a full days mind mapping workshop which had all of our shareholders present.He quickly grasped the intricacies of both the business and science of our emerging technologies Our team members were very impressed with Dougs easy yet professional manner in conducting the session.
As part of our engagement he then went on to craft a concise, yet comprehensive document. This was of such a high standard that it underpinned our presentation to Renewable Investment Fund Managers in Melbourne who went on to complete an IM.
Armed with the IM, we were successful in Singapore in obtaining “matching funding” for the multi million dollar project. Our Federal Government committed to match the funds through an ARENA grant.
It was Doug who strongly advised us to go East to find the “Renewable Advisor “ as he believed that WA was far too “ Resource Focused “.
Doug and I continued to work together, discussing various projects. He not only became my trusted business advisor and “ sounding board for new ventures” , but is now a close friend, who I admire for his honesty, integrity and fierce family love and loyalty .
